GAZELEY SCOOPS DEAL OF THE YEAR AT THE IAS 2011 AWARDS
Gazeley, a leading global supplier of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has today announced that its G. Park Swindon unit for B&Q has been awarded Deal of the Year (over 50,000 sq ft) at this year’s Industrial Agents Society (IAS) Awards.
Gazeley received the top award at a ceremony held on Thursday afternoon at the Park Lane Hotel and the prize was collected by Alex Verbeek, Gazeley’s UK Operations Director.
The 800,000 sq ft logistics distribution centre is the largest unit at G. Park Swindon and Gazeley received this accolade in recognition of its ability to deliver a £70 million project in just 32 weeks and during one of the worst winters on record. In May 2011, the building was handed over to B&Q six weeks ahead of schedule.
Alex Verbeek, UK Operations Director at Gazeley comments: “This was a tough category with some strong competition and we are delighted with the result. The project at G.
